Google maps

As I understand most people who use the connect use it for google maps. Are there any geniuses out there who think it may be possible to put google maps on a hard drive? I mean, the car remembers most of the map just not in the best detail. Is it possible or should I just get back to me tiling?

lol I have no idea why the car does not cache more of the maps. Particularly as phones can do it! That said I rarely use Google Maps, I much prefer the traffic view as it shows nice thick traffic lines along your planned route.
