As the title suggest I would like some feedback on this please.

What are good pad and disc combinations? For every day use to occasional fast road.

What are the best pad and disc combinations? That will work in every day use but really come into their own under serious braking.

I currently have M-tec discs with Padgid pads. The pads are fairly good for every day use but the discs aren't great. They get easily ****** with a lot of hard driving from a fast road use.

Thanks.

I personally wouldnt recommend Redstuff at all. Id say Mintex M1144 or Ferodo DS2500.

and I wouldn't recommend them
ds3000 all the way

the pads are likely to be your problem mate.
discs are discs

Plain Pagid or Brembo with EBC Redstuff .

hang on I missed this.
you question my recommend
and you suggest a pad with possibly the worst history going?
ds3000
unreal pad. better in every situation.

DS3000's work fine on the road... especially if you are aggressive on brakes... that said, I now use DS1.11's which have better cold performance than DS3000 and generally work as well under higher temps too... never had an issue under any circumstance using them and I don't drive hard at all

Ds111

In the past yes , shocking early Redstuff formulations .

But that's pre Andy Freeman .

DS3000 certainly won't beat Redstuff for low dust.

Ask Karl and John what they think of them.

I personally have never used the pads but you are very much in the minority recommending them for daily use.
Apart from the fact that they are pretty expensive, You only have to look at the working range to know they are going to be not so good as a daily.
You would be in a very small minority of people who would use them as a daily. DS2500 would be a much better choice and a lot more people do use this compound. Just a quick google search will find you loads of people using DS2500 as a daily but less using DS3000.

A thread where people are using them as daily pads.

The caveat seems to be they use them but they produce loads of dust and eat discs. So if you do any sort of mileage it will be an expensive proposition and you aren't going to need the performance these have to offer on the road.

mine always bit well from word go
cold or hot
just the hotter the better.
maybe the bedding in process was not done correctly??
Red stiff pads though under new design management etc still get a sketchy review from what I see.
my advice is firm on the ds3000

Time to find out what Prawn and Big Al use around a track all day , put them in and pop down to the shops
