Glow Plug Warning Light Flashing

A couple of days back the engine light came on. The car had a slight hesitation and jerked momentarily at low speed, but otherwise seemed fine. The following day I took it out and the engine light was on, and a few minutes later the glow plug light started flashing continuously. I drove it around for around 10 mins during which time it lost power. The throttle was very unresponsive, I don’t think it got over 40mph, and did nothing when I floored the throttle, just coasted.

I read various threads about similar issues but the cause could be down to a number of things (bizarrely, even a blown brake light bulb, when changed solved the problem)!

I stopped and switched off for a while. When I restarted both lights had gone and the car felt normal.

This afternoon I noticed the jerk again but no lights. Came back and plugged in VCDS. The following faults came up:

Can someone help to determine what the issues are at play? Is it categorically a new EGR valve? Is the MAF also an issue? And glowplugs?

Loss of power like that means it went into limp mode. I would try to replace or clean contacts on the cheapest thing first. Clear the codes and go for a drive.
