My glovebox has snapped off at the hinge (only one side) and wondered if anyone knew how much audi charge for this part?

You need to replace the whole glovebox as you can't just buy the lid.

If you look in the DIY Guide sticky thread you'll see a repair guide.

I was hoping I could just buy the hinge bit as it's a pin holding it on.

I've read the DIY guide, looks like I need to get my hands dirty!

yes if only

Ok, I really struggled with sticking a bracket on the glovebox, so I have glued it and I'm going to put a long screw in to hold it together.

It will eventually fail sadly. THere are loads of glove boxes on eBay. I replaced mine and now I am super gentle with it always.

Both the lock/catch mechanism and ther hinges break over time.

I used the DIY guides on here and the guys have put some great effort into posting them, they are spot on and although I coudl have managed without, having the guide took all the guess work out of it.

Finding a blue glovebox is like trying to find rocking horse poo though!

I had the same thing happen to mine. I just ordered just the lid from TPS. It was about £90. Just take the glove box out and push the pins out of the hinges and the lid comes away.

It's the hinge that's snapped, nothing wrong with the lid.

Sorry just realised what I said, the hinge is attached to the lid. lol

Hinge an lid are one part
