Glovebox latch/lock mechanism failed again.

The glove box latch mechanism on B7 must be one of the worse designs on the car.
Yet again the latch has failed, that’s the 3rd time in my ownership , bonkers situation .
I think in future I’m going to leave it empty ,lock it and forget about it being part of the car ,arghhhhhh
What real pain.

haha that's what I did with my B6 in the end!

One car I bought guy modified it with a metal hinge!

Worked well. Wish I took more notice of it and figured out how he did it now!

It's the latch mechanism to open the glovebox, hinges are fine, 3rd one to date aswell.
