Hey everyone, Im Glenn from Wicklow in Ireland and I purchased my first Audi a couple of months ago and am loving every minute! She is a pre-facelift apy S3 in black. My plans include wheels,lows and a tidy up of the bodywork but thats how all projects start,once ya get going its a slippery slope Anyway here are a few pics of the day I got her

And here is how she looked with her new shoes,which came off for the winter for a refurb

Ive been busy collecting some really nice bits and pieces to put on when some nicer weather comes back so just enjoying her standard at the moment. Ill update with some pics when the bits are painted and shiny 8)

I was going for a wheel that hasn't been done to death and I really like these,they look a lot better in person and when they get refurbed they should look a lot better I've new stainless lips arriving next week

Cheers Sean she is originally an English so has seen bad weather on both sides the front has a few stone chips so will be getting a respray in the next month or two

What colour you going for on the refurb?

Still have mine, longest iv ever had a car.
Got it remapped, badger 5 tip, forge 007, yellow dogbone, new n75, new maf, eibach springs , blistein shocks , Cupra splitter,new clutch, s3 mats, refurbished alloy, spare rs4s, for the track. Etc etc.
just ordered a r32arb, and that will do me for now........not.

@ turnstyle, Thats what I was trying to achieve with the wheels as the S3 has a nice chunky body
I think ill do them in a similar colour maybe a little darker

Right so it update time. While I was running the Artec wheels before winter set in I decided to show the standard wheels a bit of love as they were in a sorry state! I blasted them back to bare metal,etch primered,primered,painted and lacqured them. They are finished in Audi alluminium metallic silver.I didnt get too ocd on them as they will be winter wheels,ill save that treatment for the Artec's. Anyway here are a few pics

They were all this bad!

After they were painted they were fitted with some winter tires which were great in the snow!
The Artecs will be getting a refurb in the next couple of weeks,in time for show season

Cheers Sandra, here is what I was up to last week. I got a set of Porsche boxter s front calipers a couple of weeks ago and was just going to throw them on but decided to give give them a refurb first. First i had to cut the corrado adapters off as they wouldnt budge for love nor money! Then I blasted them back to bare metal,primered,painted and lacqured them,they are finished in Audi Lazer red which is the nicest red out there! Anyway here are the pics

Im so glad I decided to refurb them,they look a million times better now

Doing a great job there mate! Love the idea of using the loft as a spray shop!

@Dani_B19 I just used normal paint from halfords,a few friends have used the same paint and never had any problems with heat or anything.They like to drive their cars hard too

@s3 Hoggy Cheers man, The only problem with using the loft as a spray shop is the dust. U need to give it a good hoover first! But works nicely,no smell in the rest of the house either

Yeah Halfords primer,paint and lacquer. The colour is Audi lazer red

Here is a few of the bits ive been collecting for the s3,starting to feel like a squirrel gathering food for the winter
braided lines for the Porsche brakes
Creation motorsport adapters for the brakes
R8 oil cap
Aero wiper arms and blades from a mk4 golf
LCR splitter
Im hoping to get the car to the bodyshop in the next two weeks for a bit of painting too

So the s3 went in for paint on Monday, getting a full respray in original black. Ive also been busy giving the Artec wheels a refurb, they are now painted vw diamond silver and have new stainless steel Radinox dishes 1.75 all around. Here are a few pics of how the wheels look after paint and a test fit of the lips

I also picked up a full set of MTEC brake discs,ferodo racing front pads and red stuff rear pads

Its going to be a busy few weeks getting her ready for Dubshed in Belfast, still need to fit coilovers,brakes pads discs, lcr splitter and seal the wheels and fit tyres. The interior will be getting a full valet too

The respray is costing me around €1800 which is a really good price, he has also painted a mates mk4 and its stunning!
I should have a few pics of her painted by the end of next week

Nice thread, your refurbs look excellent. Do you think the paint on the wheels will be durable?

Cheers Will, I've had any issues with the paint and durability but it will take about two to three weeks for it to be properly hardened.

Ok so its been a while since Ive updated so here we go The car has been painted and the new wheels fitted but Im having trouble with the brake adapters as I was sent out the ones for 325mm discs and Im getting the run around trying to get the ones I ordered which were for 312 hopefully this will be sorted soon. Ive also done a deal with a buddy of mine for an abt tuning ecu for my apy engine which will bring my bhp to around 270-280 should be getting this coded to my car over the weekend cant wait! Anyway here are a few pics of the paint work and wheels
