Glass Scratch

I have a long thin scratch on my windscreen caused by me being careless scraping ice off my car this morning

Any idea how I can get rid of it? I have tried Megs glass cleaner, this improved it a little but it's still there.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I understand that ladies rouge, (the makeup) can remove a scratch, don't know how and never tried it, but I heard it somewhere once. May have been bull, may not.

The North east of Scotland! It was a frosty night but a beutiful day! This made the scratch show up even worse.

I had another go at it last night but it still won't budge!

I had to dig the scraper out yesterday in North East England too.

Have you tried claying the glass..?? Just in case its actually particles in the scratch making it show up. It may not make a difference but has to be worth a go.

You need a cerium oxide polishing kit - see this link for details...

I would give it a buff with any fine/medium abrasive polish (Autosol metal polish etc) and a flap wheel.
