I've read the above statement on another Car Forum.
The context relates to a "crunchy" 1st to 2nd Gear when cold Thread.

Wonder if it's the same with Audi ??
Mine is certainly mega crunchy (first to second) and certainly not the smoothest of changes.
Get's better as it warms up though.

Will ask them to check at the 1st Service, although that's a bit away yet.

I know there's a few experiencing the same issue, although anyone actually taken their's in and had the Gearbox Oil topped up ??

Hmm let me know how you get on as I had a similar problem. Mine seemed to struggle to swap in the cold.
 
Is it something to just pour in or something Ill need to go to a garage about?
 
I would thought the level of oil in the gearbox isn't related to the cold issue but more likely the viscosity of the oil. I would also advise against believing all what you read in a forum as being gospel...
