Gearbox oil change/topup

can anyone advise a friend of mine who has an A8 4.2 Quattro Sport on a 99 plate how he can top up his gearbox oil, or at least check it.

There is only one A8 bible, Paul Waterloo's A8_site Lots of chaps on other forums are using Paul's proceedures /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif (What a clever phuck!)
