Gearbox humped?

Hi guys, 98 2.8Q
Its very difficult to engage 3rd gear, is my gearbox fcked? all other gears are silky smooth..
Need some help here

Sounds like a worn synchro.

A chap on here managed to do something similar by balancing his laptop ontop of the gearstick for a while with the engine running!

mines a bit difficult going from 1st down to 2nd, then when its warmed up it frees off a little but is still a bit hard to engage, i think its down to the age of the car
