Just picked up my new-to-me A3 2.0TDI. The only fault i can find with it is that the chrome circle on the top of the gear knob (the trim round the gear layout diagram) is missing a piece. Anyone know if i can buy the replacement chrome part anywhere, or will i just have to stump up the cash to audi for a whole new gear knob?

I realise there are aftermarket gear knobs from the likes of MOMO, but id rather keep the OEM appearance.

Thanks

Just had a look on ETKA (Audi parts cat.) and I'm afraid I can only see the "Gear selector knob" as a complete unit. The only additional part that can be purchased, and that is associated with the gearstick, is a clip that holds the gator on. Looks like a new gear stick!

Sorry matey

Try the Dealers had mine replaced for free, when the chrome started flaking & became sharp.

Ill ask at the dealers, but i get the impression they will charge me gazillion pounds +vat.

Anyone on here got one for sale?

ill put an ad in the wanted section

lovely gear knobs on that site, but £80 for the s3 gear knob! ouch!

yeah - absolutley anything that is on your car can be purchased from vagparts

if you need a special screw to hold down a bit of plastic, i am sure they can get it!

I meant does the discount apply to all products they sell?
