full closure alarm question

just fixed my electric window today, and i have had the window unplugged since i bought the car to stop anyone undoing it as it wouldnt go back up. However today i tried to close all windows by holding down the lock button on the fob, but it doesnt work!! It will work if i hold the key in the lock the position in the door it just wont work via the key fob??!!

Try shutting the window in one touch if that does not work, you need to hold in close position for about 10 secs and that might sort it out no promises!!!

I can close the windows in one touch i just cant close them when im locking the car using the fob, ive tried holding down the buttons for ages but it still dont work!

Might it need activating in VAGCOM? Not sure if it was an option to change that . . . worth a look!

JD is on the money with this.

Not all A3/S3 models have it enabled out of the factory - this can be enabled, and disabled via VAG COM, as well as such things like the alarm chirping when armed as you lock it.
