fuel sender unit?

is the fuel sender unit for an S3 the same as for a 1.8? or are they completely different!?!?!

Different as far as I know... the S3 has a different in tank fuel pump to the A3 (unless its a TQS where I think they are a similar setup if not the same part) and the sender is part of the fuel pump assembly...

TBH if you are looking to replace the thing then just get one from a dealer... they aren't that expensive IIRC and you know it will be the right part...
