    my mates a4 b6 fuel pump has gone and his car is stuck at a garage but they say they can’t do it as it needs a special tool which they don’t have and have told him he needs to find the tool or tow it to another garage. I’ve had a look and can’t find anywhere in uk anyone know somewhere that sells them

    Have a look on YouTube to see if others who have done this job have used a special tool, I bet there are other methods

    There is but the garage don’t want to do it in case they break something my mechanic can do it but but it towing the car there

    Would your friend not try it themselves? With those instructions that would be easier than most flat pack wardrobes!

    I know he’s going to have a word tomorrow the only thing they can break is the broken pump anyway

    New fuel pump came but it looks different. It should be the bottom pic but Euro car parts sent the top one , does the top one look like it fits in the basket of the other one or is it the wrong one

    by the looks of it, one is for the A4 B6 01-04 and the other is for the A4 B7 04-08

    Yeah his is an 04 plate but when you enter his reg it comes up As a 05 plate

    His is a b6 it is odd I thought if anything you’ Get a my2004 on a 05 plate not the other way round

    I just did a quick search on eurocarparts and it came back with 2 possible pumps.... this is the first one. type this product code in 441444140 it looks like the bottom one.
