Fuel consumption on 1.6tdi

I am looking to change my daughters car from a Polo 1.2 petrol to A1 1.6TDI s-line what MPG are you guys getting on these cars. I currently run A3 and Q5 both diesels. Ay info would be good.

Come on guys 3 days and no answer!! On the A3 8V site I would have had many replies on this subject!!

4 weeks later and still no answer, well on road test we actually Achieved 53MPG while doing 75/80 MPH, I will post the figures for you all when we get the car to help you guys!!!!!

63 mpg on the way home last night steady 55 mph

my gf has one and its terrible, above 65mph its nothing close to what it claims on paper, my A3 2.0tdi beats it all day, id say go for the 2.0tdi A1

Yes I have noticed the higher speeds eat in to the MPG but we tested the 1.6 and at 75/80 MPH it was still showing 50 MPG, but saying that my daughter did get 61 MPG on the way home some nights ago. We also run the A3 2 litre power is better but MPG still improving, the Q5 returns 40MPG that is also 2 litre
