Front parking sensors not on

I recently bought a 2013 Q3.
When I check through the car's equipment spec, it lists "Parking System Plus, Front and Rear".
The car looks like it has the sensors in the front bumper.
The settings are there to adjust the front sensor volume and frequency.
However, I cannot get them to work. All I ever have is a symbol which seems to indicate that they are not turned on.
Please see attached screenshot and photos.
I have looked through all the settings and tried the button on the dashboard, and cannot find an option to switch them on.
Am I missing something?

Get it on vcds is your best bet if no settings are available to enable.

There is an issue with your front sensors, most likely wiring, and that’s which you have the red symbol on your display. Need to Get this investigated.
