mot failed today due to excessive play in lower ball joint! doh! phoned audi to order one but there are two, as there is a straight and a curved wishbone with one each i believe? (is this correct?) mot didnt specify which one it was usefully, but there are yellow marks on the one from the curved wish bone so im guessing thats the one they mean.
audi say I should replace the whole wishbone (£156.55) as it is too hard to remove the old and replace a new ball joint (£30 ish).
has anyone done this? is it really that hard a job? i have found a diy thread on a golf here
