Front bumper Conversion!

It will fit your A3. I have one waiting to go on too! The Splitter seems to fit loads of cars lol, even our A6!!!

thanks sarah... so have you found the S3 bumper yet?
i am considering it too but the cost of the bumper is quite high. I did get myself a s-line bumper without the headlight washer holes and the body shop said he should be able to get it cut... he is an insurance approved German car specialist :)

No still looking, they do seem dear but do have the holes! I was offered an S Line without holes but didint feel it would be a smooth cut to be honest and didnt want it spoilt if it went a bit wrong! You will be ok if hes a good guy!

hey Sarah, how much did you get the splitter for? im just looking at different prices and wondering what would be a good deal?

Ah I was a lucky girl, I paid £20 from Seat, he was a great guy too. Seen them loads dearer on Ebay but most Seat places charge around £20-£25 so better.

Does any1 know if it's possible to fit a bonnet and front bumper from a b7 model a4 to the older b6 model ?

Hey Sarah, just to let you know the garage took my car today for the day while i was at work and they cut the washer holes into the new sline bumper.
they took off my bumper and washer caps as a template and then made sure they cut it properly. i took a few pics of it which i will post up later. it looks like it was always there but i wont know how good the fit is until it is painted and fitted at the end of the week. got the front and rear sline bumpers going on :)

Hey thats really good news. Will love to see the pics of what they have done. Still havnt seen many S Lines with jet holes so you've done the right thing. Such exciting times and oooohhh you've beaten me lol. Was hoping I could get mine done for Inters but not looking good :(

Bonnet and getting it in the paintshop (and funds a little) plus I desperately need alloys lol or it will look pants! I'll get there lol

I still have the crappy 17" sport alloys on mine, i do want to change it but im doing it one at a time.
im sure you could pick up a bonnet from a scrappy, any bonnet from a single grill will do. i am having my front and rear bumper done for £250. thats fixing up any cracks, cutting the washer holes, getting it properly painted and fitting it onto the car :)

Good price and alot less hassle for you too. Ive scoured all scrappys near and far, believe me lol! See if you can find me one lol! If not im off to TPS again

I'll keep an eye out for you, least i can do for all the help you have been.

here are the pics of the bumper before it was sanded down and the washer holes were cut and now with the holes cut into the bumper, he had to primer it again after the cut so thats the grey bit.

So my mate at the garage told me to drop off the car in the morning to get the new bumpers on... but have just spoken to him only to be told that the staff that does the paint work is off sick today so it has now been delayed to sometime next week :(

Any idea how they went about cutting the washer jet holes? what did they use etc...

looks like they did a good job.

So I finally had the front and rear S-Line bumpers finished and fitted. Dropped the car off to the garage in the morning and went off to work. came back after work and found them polishing the new bumpers off.

I also had the FK S3 grill fitted. The Fogs are not yet wired in as I cannot figure out how to wire it into the H11 plug yet, might just get some repair wires and give it a shot otherwise i will be getting the adapters to fit it, does any one know the part number for the adapter?

Hellz, i asked the garage what they used to cut the holes and the guy thought he would be funny and replied the tool used was 'his brain' :keule:
he wasn't prepared to give away his secret so im sorry but couldnt find out.

so here are the pictures of the car... gave it a quick wash before coming home...
What do you guys (and girls) think??

xenons are needed now! Oh it never ends......

Good job! With all this talk of washer jet holes i presumed you had Xenons! I now assume these will be a later mod and getting the washers sorted was just thinking ahead?

He has a sportback, they come with the correct bonnet as standard! ;-)

There was a bonnet on ebay last week, was on buy it now £140 but went within a few hours before i could post up the link on here!

ah! hadnt noticed that, yup already had the right one. Think I will get mine from TPS, cant be bothered searching anymore lol

I didn't understand why the car had washers as it didn't have xenons, but yes i will be fitting in xenons soon, but it has to wait as i really need to save for wedding.
next month i want to finish off the rear parking sensors as they are not wired up... if anyone has any parts for it i would be grateful...
Sarah do you have the loom to connect the sensor to the module? it seems that the loom i have does not fit the sensors so i am guessing i have the loom for the newer smaller sensors.

oh and i have found out the part number for the Sline fog adapter and Cupra spoiler if anyone else needs it...
S-Line fog adapter housing: 3D0 941 165 A - £6.70
Curpa splitter: 1ML 805 903 - £24.70

Yes mine already has rear sensors as factory fit, so all wiring is there. May have issues with plugs but someones going to help when I get to that. Can you send me a pic of the plugs on your loom so I can compare to mine! But theres always a way around things!

Yes save for the wedding! the car will wait for a bit lol!
