What's the size of the front anti roll bar on the 1.8T please.

I do know that all models in the A4 range have the same size front arb's..... what I don't know is what size they are ......

Cheers lads i'm thinking of upgrading.

b5's have a 29mm front ARB on all sport models including the S and RS, so i very much doubt the B6 is 18mm.

Personally, i woudlnt touch the front bar. Increasing front end roll stiffness will increase understeer.

front's are all the same, pretty sure it's around 18mm... pretty sure that even the RS4 RARB was less than 29mm!

I already have the rs4 rear ARB...This is what i'm thinking of.

Product Notes
The installation of sport shock absorbers is recommended. If the car is factory lowered the stated lowering will be reduced by the same amount. Not for cars with self levelling suspension.

"If" the RS4 rear arb becomes spare I might be able to rehome it ;)

I have a 32mm eibach front ARB with poliurethane bushes and the steering is soo good i could point-it everywhere i want-it. I also have the GMBH 17mm rear antiroll bar and that made the car a bit more neutral. Of course we can argue to the point that a 4 pot will allways handle better than a v6 but i am very happy with the way mine handles but i also have rs4 shocks all round, Lemforder s4 solid front TRE, Eibach springs all round and a mix of rs4 /rs2 rear suspension. Its funny that Eibach ONLY offered thicker front ARB for the a4 as i think they know a thing or two about suspension. Having 4 identical good quality tyres on a quattro also make a big difference and i reckon a b5quattro handles better than a b6 quattro...

yep, but my point was that with the stock front bar, and the 17mm rear, you will reduce understeer further than your existing setup.

Try it, you may like it!

You say eibach only offered a front, but conversely Whiteline, who specialise in anti roll bars, only released a rear bar for the B5 platform, as did Quattro Gmbh when they upgraded the suspension on the RS4.
