Hi guys..

If somebody (like me) was thinking of going from a Stock 265bhp 2010 S3 to stage 2+ is there a tuner where you can go and ask them to source the parts, fit, and remap.. all in one go ??

Thanks :)

I'm doing just that this week, going to aks for parts, then off to r-tech for stage 2+ mapping, can't wait.

Whos fitting all of your parts ?? Aks or yourself ? Or R tech ?

Aks are fitting most of the parts, I've already fitted a revo intake and should be fitting a discharge pipe before Thursday. R-tech only do mapping and don't fit parts.

You are going from crawling to sprinting,I would do it slowly ( and did) to appreciate the power

Ive previously owned a 350bhp gtir so the stock s3 feels quite steady... i know im old but i think i might cope... lol

I appreciate that but was that a fwd car that changed to 4wd upon wheel spin ? People mistake the quattro system for a get out of jail free card when going hard into different road conditions but I have seen a fair few fails but if you have it covered :salute:

i hear exactly what you are saying and appriciate the advice... i might start with stage 1 anyway like you say, as like you say it might feel very different to my gtiR

I'm going to have a few different maps so will have a few modes to switch between, owned a few bikes and a few fast cars, I haven't owned the s3 for long but am used to the power already.

Stage 2+ is brutal and personally how the should have been from the factory. If you have the cash to do lot in one do it.

Where abouts are you based? My personal preference would be to choose someone relatively close with a good forum reputation if possible. Easier to go back to tweak/ sort anything out if issues arise.

^^^ What he said.

Sometimes you can travel to get work done, then if you have issues you spend time going back and forth sorting it.

I used my local specialist for convenience and quality, That way if there are any issues, its a 10 minute drive!!

Im based about 2 mile away from R tech... near hinckley in leicestershire...which is great for getting the maps done.. not sure about sourcing and fitting parts ??

Not sure who is over Leicester way. AP Automotive in Telford supply and fit my parts (Just awarded Audi Service Provider).

May be a little too far from you though (1-1.5hours?)

Couldnt recommend TTS Roadsport enough. They're not a million miles from Leicester down in Bedford. They took me from stage 1 to where I am today.

DynoDaze have alot to do with R-Tech I think - Share business between them, Might be worth giving them a shout..

I'm going to Awesome GTI in Manchester tomorrow. I've had a powervalve turbo back fitted and i'm having a VWR intake and going APR stage 1. I'm not going stage 2+ at the moment as I don't really use my car enough to feel i'd benefit from the extra cost of a HPFP and 2+ map. I'm also staying away from stage 2 as i've heard of people having missfires higher up the rev range.

I think if APR had been closer id have gone there too.. but with RTech being on my doorstep and with all of the good reviews ive ready i think that would be my best optio. Whichever power increase i opt for...

As everyone else has said, and I have to agree too, pick a good, forum recommended tuner local to you,and go with what they have/recommend.

Personally,I think Stg2+ or a TTE420 hybrid are the best value options overall, but you do need all of the other parts like fuel pump, exhaust and CAI etc etc to go with it,and don't forget to upgrade the brakes and suspension to match as the S3 gets very wobbly on it's stock suspension and the brakes are prone to fade as well.
