FORGE SHORT SHIFT....

Has anyone had this fitted to their A3 8P 2.0T FSI?

Is it a worth while modification? was going to pick one up next weekend but not sure if it is worth the money (£65). I was then going to fit it myself.

Any opinions will be greatly appreciated.

all it does is shorten the gear linkage, therefore you change gear quicker, therefore faster 0-60 etc...

it is worthwhile if you like racing but some people just like it for a shorter throw of the gear stick

my mate has one in his is200 lexus and ive never experienced one so short lol

i might consider one for the TDI if it will fit

There is a down side to a short shift and that is you can shortant the life of the gearbox synchromesh. If you take your time shifting with the short shift kit fitted most of the time you will be fine

other downside is they can feel quite notchy and rough.
