Does anyone know much about this kit? Or have any experience running it? Having had them fitted, they work... They definitely stop the car quite well. Only issue is, under light braking the pedal and wheel judders around quite a bit. Once I break heavily the juddering goes away and all is fine. Air in the lines? Warped disks? If it is warped disks, anyone know if I can run different brake disks other than the ones Forge supply?
I have the rear kit which seems fine. It has been suggested to me that the kit is made for Forge but either way it seems fine. If the discs are warped you could see if either K-Sport or AP have alternative rotors.
Yeah, I had a quick look before posting this. K sport use the same size disks as Forge, just wanted to know whether or not the disks were compatible with the calipers
This post suggests they are made by Forge ... but its an old post ... http://www.golfmk6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39451
All I would say is to google a few images and draw your own conclusions. Either way the rear kit is fine. For the fronts I chose my trusted favourite.
Bit strange, but I swapped my wheels over last night onto my standards... Wobble under braking has disappeared. Going to assume the BBS were unbalanced?
For completeness, warped disks is a bit of a myth. This is a good read: http://www.stoptech.com/technical-support/technical-white-papers/-warped-brake-disc-and-other-myths
