Is there not some UK legislation that prohibits the use of “ none Uk emergency vehicles on the road”
What I mean is you can’t simply buy an American cop car with all the lights and livery and use it “as is “ on uk roads.
Show purposes only. Ie everything is covered over/up whilst on UK roads, and taken to shows on trailers.

I used to be into tank scene having owned many yanks. That’s how it was unless the rules have changed??

not wanting to burst any bubbles....

Nope, completely legal. The Police on the side is perfectly legal as long as the car does not resemble a UK Police car. And lights can be used on the public road. Most of us owners get isolator switches so they can’t be activated from the cabin. The cops love them and are always taking pics and invite us to police open days (well they did before COVID!). But yes most of these cars are used for shows, some people use them as daily’s.
