I've read somewhere on this forum that some A4's have sockets built in to the wiring loom for foot well lights

Anybody know if the 95 B5 1.6 has this facility?

If not, would someone tell me where the control unit for the interior light is please?

Would it be safe to switch a relay via the switched live from the control unit?

Looking for some surface mounted foot well lamps, 2 under front seats (rear passenger wells) and two in front wells, any ideas?

Thanks

craigs Late '97 S4 has one under the drivers knee bolster, but our Late 96 doesnt.

There was a lot of changes mid 97 and i suspect it was probably added around then.

So will it be ok to take a spur to switch the relay?

Considered a light sensor type switch (working like a flash slave) although I believe it'd pick up any available light and switch itself on and off

i would imagine you should be fine to take a feed from one of the fittings and use a relay, it would be worth looking over the wiring diagram to find the easiest place to pickup the feed from though.
