Facelift Folding mirror question

Hi folks

Can anyone shed some light on why the facelift mirrors seem to have an extra connector? Is this for side assist?

Looks like the ones for side assist in mine. Interesting because I had it retrofitted I wonder if they were there already ! wonder if the rest of the harness in the rear bumper is present !

Looks the same as the ones in my Dynamic wing mirror indicator install
