Flipping Audi concert

Does anyone else have the problem. With Audi concert. I go to turn the volume up (obviously)but it goes to like 6 or 7 then resets back to 0... So annoying . Any ideas guys.

Mine does that aswell,if its up around 10 or so and i turn it up it will go back to 4 or 5. Its like it doesn't want you to listen to loud music. Had mine up around 22 or higher one morning and the whole thing shut down.

yeah, the volume control is actually a digital device, two small switches, depending on the direction of rotation, one changes state before the other

if you get dirt in the bit that controls the switches, it gets upset and goes back to zero, or some other random number
google quadrature encoder for a better explanation

you could try to spray some contact cleaner into the volume control, or give the knob a really good spin (with the power off, or not )

Thanks, have some contact cleaner, il try that. May spray some in the work truck stereo aswell. It does the opposite,try to turn it down and it starts blaring.
