I have an intermittent starting issue on my 2013 2.0 Tdi

The engine turns over just fine but the coil light flashes and it does not start but then will start after some time but always random.

This was happening over a three week period but for the past week all is working fine.

These are the two codes that come up with my vcds.

P025A00 Fuel supply control unit (pem) actuation. Error message : Open circuit.

P025C00 Fuel supply control unit (pem) actuation. Error message : Short yto ground.

Has anyone come across this fault and managed to work out if this is the control module or the low pressure fuel pump ??

Check the fuel pump relay hasn't become slightly detached from the relay backplate, had this on my A3 & only after ages did it start as it was creating its own electrical field per se, magnetic that created the conductive circuit to run.

Took me a while to trace, but pushing relay fully home resolved everything.

Worth a try, otherwise lift pump possibly.

Thanks for that ....

This is the only thing I haven't tried so I'll remove it and put it back in nice and firm..
