Fitted some Sportlines today, after running a tape over them it looks like they have dropped 10mm on the rear and 25mm on the front. May settle a little over time and im happy that the car now sits flat and not ridiculously high at the front like it did.

That looks good. Looks level. Mine looks a bit lower at the front to me (2016 S-line FL 150 tdi) but it's maybe an optical illusion with the side skirts.

I will need to measure the arch heights but would like to lower it and level it.

That looks so much better. Such a nicer colour and wheel choice.

The wheels will be refurbished soon in a darker anthracite colour. Then maybe a front splitter to finish it all off.

The rear end doesn't look any lower than on my car but the front looks far better, would like this done on my car.... The only mod l would though lol

TBH it's much more noticeable in the flesh, the rear did drop 10mm, I'm happy now it sits flat.

How’s the ride quality? I find the s3 to be comfortable enough for long distances so don’t want to upset that but would like it to sit a bit lower.

Really good, I've not been far but very similar to stock. Not harsh, even in dynamic, I'll put a few miles on it over the weekend and have a better idea.

Looks good mate. Do you have magride? If so, did you get it calibrated after fitting the springs? I've read conflicting information on whether or not you need to get it done.

I've got some Eibach Pro springs on order for my S3 saloon which should hopefully arrive next week. Managed to get them for £140!

To be honest mate at the moment they seem really good I don't know if they're going to need calibrating or not. All S3 saloon are mag ride I think.

Fitted mine last Sunday and the back has definitely dropped 5-10mm after driving for a few days

I've got mine booked in to a local Audi specialist on Tuesday for the S-tronic and Haldex service so I'll ask him about it then see what he says.

Any chance we can get some more before and after pics and maybe some height measurements ??

Very tempted to get mine lowered.

Ill get some centre of the wheel to the top of the arch later as i need some flat ground and i live on a hill. I did measure them before and after but can't find the paper i put it on. I know that it was definitely a 10mm rear and 25mm front drop, give or take a few mm.

Looks mint @Starry - the more I look at my Sportback (also on 19’s with mag-ride), the more it’s irritating me that a regular A3 S-line sits lower than mine! The standard stance doesn’t look quite right.

Not interested in the slammed/Fast and Furious look at all, but that is a classy drop.

Some questions for those who’ve gone down this route:
- Best place to pick up Sportlines?
- What would be reasonable for a decent VAG Independent to charge for fitting?
- Guess it would be wise to re-align headlight angle?
- Mag-ride recalibration also seems wise. @DJAlix offers this. How much mate, and do you ever travel Midlands way?

Quite possibly been covered on a variety of old threads, but interested in latest thinking/opinions. Thanks

Have no project works planned for the midlands at the moment, I have a guy in Leicester who can assist however. Pm for pricing etc

@Starry , was it straight fwd to do. No real specialist tool needed other than the usual strut/ spring removal? And your car is looking top notch. Sits really well.

The springs were £229 from https://clptuning.co.uk/product/eibach-sportline-kit-audi-rs3s3-8v/

I Paid £150 for the fitment but i now need to get a geo done and possible recalibration.

The headlights self adjust to a degree i think, i will check this when it gets geo'd.

I put a few miles on them today when i visited Castle Combe's Audi drivers day, the roads into the circuit are a nice mixture of fast A roads and twisty B roads. I must say, the ride has not suffered at all, the car feels planted and not in anyway harsh or crashy. You still get a noticeable softening when selecting comfort, i spent most of the time in dynamic though and was very happy with the ride.

I measured the drop from the centre of the wheel to the highest point of the wheel arch its 34.5mm on all 4 wheels.

Thanks mate. Geo? What is this? 4 wheel laser alignment? Or something else?

Just had a look for springs for my 2016 150 tdi quattro and there are different springs available. There are prokit 20mm for quattro, prokit 30mm no mention of quattro and sportline 45mm that don't seem to have a part number.

What's the difference between the quattro and non quattro springs?
I would be looking at the 30mm or 45mm if possible but the don't mention quattro.

Anyone got any info to help selection of the correct springs?

Go to the Eibach website and get the part number for the springs you want for your car. Then shop around. I got the Pro Kit for my PFL S3 for £140 from a German website called autodoc (https://www.autodoc.co.uk/eibach/7618364). They're not fast at delivering so if you're in a hurry, shop elsewhere.

****** good shout @sparkymark75 ! Autodoc even have a flash sale on today (18% off an already keen price), ending at 11pm tonight. Figured if I thought about it too much I’d talk myself out of it, so order for Eibach Sportlines placed!

:greyrs4:

Might take a couple of weeks to arrive from Germany, but at £158 delivered, I’m chuffed. That’s over 30% less than anywhere I could find ‘em in the UK. Will be a few weeks before I fit - will coincide this with my service next month.

Cheers everyone for all the info on this - appreciate it.

They're the DFS of the car part world! They have a sale everyday! When I ordered my springs last Monday afternoon, it was 22% off or thereabouts. They've still not been shipped yet but they called me the other day for security as it was my first order and I was getting them delivered to a different address than my billing address.

Autodoc is a sister company to Eurocarparts.
Great of you aren’t in a rush for stuff as they have all sorts that’s just difficult to get from a motor factors.
@Starry let us know those measurements when the springs settle a bit once you clock a few more miles. I would do the geometry check after it’s settles otherwise it will throw it all out.

Im doing the geo next weekend, should have about 300 miles on them then, i was told the Eibach don't settle much. We will soon see.

Can’t wait to see some more photos. I have been looking for springs for some time but there is not that many photos of eibachs on the saloons.

:thumbs up: @Starry ’s fault. Buying the springs is the cheap bit. Reckon they’ll take a few weeks to arrive from Deutschland, then there’s fitting, wait to settle, then mag-ride recalibration, 4 wheel re-alignment, checking headlight alignment is still right and informing the insurance company. Should look much better though, and I’ll update with my experiences on the process (but this is going to be a slow burn).

The current stance on my car is a noticeable higher wheel arch gap on the front wheels vs rear, giving the car a ‘sit up and beg’ look which I’m not keen on. I want to level-off the stance, have it very subtlety lower, and not particularly compromise on ride quality. Research on this forum suggests the route I’m going down can achieve this, but the proof of the pudding is in the eating as they say. Updates and pix will of course follow.

NOT looking to achieve this...

...*** - looks broken, and I need to turn corners.

However, a subtle drop which most people wouldn’t even notice appeals to me. @Starry has got it just right IMO, and has convinced me to go down the same route.

How did you get the pic to show like that mate.

Downloaded from your Google Photos page mate, by clicking on the image, saving as an image on the iPad (so in your regular photo folder) and then re-uploading to the forum...
