First Inspection due at 19k, How much? Where?

Hi All,

As the title says, my first inspection is due very soon. How much have people got their inspection for and have they gone to Audi or an indie garage? I am based in Milton Keynes, so anything around a 30 mile radius I will consider. If going to a non Audi garage, does it affect value of the car when it comes to trading in or any other drawbacks?

VAG specialists should be able to service your car and it not affect the warranty if any of the replaced parts are to go wrong - but generally with a car so new I'd prefer take it to a main dealer, but that's just me. Phone your local Audi, they may have a fixed price system - many main dealers do, at least all the ones i've been to with my cars (not all VAG).

I find Milton Keynes Audi very good, Justin there is spot on and always looks after car, makes sure it isn't washed and gives me a good deal on any service work

I got my first oil change done at Milton Keynes Audi after they price matched a local independent garage. That however was the only positive I found with their aftersales. I have been promised 4 times a call back previously which was never returned and when it came for an oil change, I had to wait 2 months for the oil change!! Shame really as the sales team were excellent and Tom B was a great guy to deal with!

Just got on the phone to Oxford Audi. Was quoted £180 for an inspection and £352 for oil change included.
They recommended I wait for my first inspection when my 2nd oil change is due, which is in 4100 miles. Does it matter if I prolong my inspection till that long? The service guy on the phone said It was fine and wouldn't affect anything when it comes to trading the car in in a years time.

When mine was due oil change the dealer price matched my local garage ,needed written estimate showing it was using gen parts ,saved me almost £200!

Just had an oil change done last week at my local Audi garage - £191 all in. That was in Belfast though!!

My oil change isn't due till 4000 miles. Can I wait and get my inspection then and wait or will it affect things?

Aye they originally quoted me £230 for my first service oil change, which they were swiftly told no. We agreed on £170 - Ridiculous price for an oil change.

Great to get a £60 discount, although £170 is a more realistic figure in the first place!
