Probably expecting some pictures... unfortunately I didn’t get any but will grab some tomorrow morning before I set out for work!

Used Auto Finesse Iron Out on both body work and alloys. Worked really well but still a few specs on the body which I’ll have to keep going over. Used Magma from Autoglym previously and did just a good a job.

What does everyone else use for decontaminating?

Also, just used my last bit of Autobrite Snow foam :(

So looking for recommendations for snow foam???

I'm having the same predicament; even though I've clayed my previous cars plenty of times, I'm reluctant to do so with this one. It'll be interesting to hear people's views.

Meguiars Hyperwash is what I use. Does the job well.
After recommendations form guys on here I've started getting stuff from Ultimate Finish. Have a look on there and see what's being recommended too.

I’ve been using “Pro-Kleen” recently and it’s been great. I get the 5L jugs off eBay and do a 50/50 mix with water.

I definitely recommend it, leaves a nice shine.

Would’ve sent you some pics of the car after cleaning it but ever since I’ve washed it the heavens have been open and it’s been raining on and off... typical!

My old man has got some Meguiars shampoo which I’ll use next time. Think my mate buys ProKleen and heard it’s really good from him not so long ago. Will have to give it a try!

Slightly off topic but any suggestions on scratches/scuffs on the headlights? Only minor ones - will actually grab some photos at work tomorrow (rain or shine!!)

Meguiars ultimate compound will sort you out with restoring a shine on your headlamps.
It is really good. Used it few weeks ago on rear lamps. They went foggy but after the compound and buffing pad on a drill, their shine came back.

Also, had some glue residue after 2.0 TDI rear badge removal and compound took it all off.

After ProKleen snow foam will properly wash the car, polish it up with Meguiars Ultimate Polish and finish it off with Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax.

It’s not so much that they are foggy or need restoring. It’s just that I glanced the back of a car last year and managed to get the noticeable damage out, which luckily was a trade in paint. Scuffs and taken some of the paintwork off the passenger front and scuffs on the actual headlight as well as a broken air guide grille :(

Was considering getting a buffing pad not so long ago as well!

Still, this compound will remove some minor scratches and gloss it all up.

I got the buffing pad of fleeBay and thought it will be good. Pad turned out less than 3” diameter but still does the job perfectly.
Got two wafer pads with it, flat foam pad and polishing pad. All attached with velcro and attached to my cordless did excellent on the rear lamps.
If it was bigger, would be more difficult.

I could go for the whole detailing machine. They not so expensive.
£100 will get you a good one, with storage bag and plenty pads of different softness.

Hmmm good shout in that case.. looking to buy some as we speak!

I’ve always been a little hesitant to get a detailed and use the buff pads on my car.. just scared of anything going wrong! My old man has always hated them and refuses to get one. Until I buy one and then use it and show him the results!

Machine is only part of the achievement.
Medium coarse wafer pads, soft pads and polishing pads are as standard. Products for each step is are even more important.

If you haven’t done it before, look it up on internet and yt.
Don’t over do it and start with small parts/areas. Gain confidence and move to bigger parts.

Probably in the minority but ''snow foam'' looks good when used but I find it not much cop really?. Used different types but find them all pretty much the same?. Used them with my pressure washer & through a foam gun direct from the hose & still not convinced with the results.

I’ve heard that some people work in the snow foam itself with a sponge or mitt. But not too much as would scratch the paint thus pointless using the snow foam in the first place.

Have you experimented with the thickness of the snow foam? as when I first started putting mine on it was way too thin and fiddled around with the ratio and finally got the perfect mix now.

    ProKleen Apple fragrance snow foam

It would’ve been wicked but my snow foam cannon is rubbish.
It created “milk” rather than “snow”.

It is also first time I was using new Bosh Easy Aquatak 110 pressure washer and this cannon was in the set.
Will be looking to change that in due corse but in the mean time, I will be “milking” the car.

Snow foam it self is good.
Smells nice and looks it helps to lift dirt as not much left of it I was shifting it while washing the car.
Had to rinse the car quite heavy to stop foaming but it also helped to use clay bar, when foam it after wash.

Pro-Kleen is the one I'm using at the moment & as above used the lance & bottle that came with my Vaux pressure washer & one that can be used direct from my hose but still not overly impressed with it?.

What ratio are you mixing it with?

I first tried using it with the Karcher Snow foam attachment with my Karcher K5 Premium and it just came out as soapy water, now I’m using a ProKleen lance and it works so much better

This is with a 50/50 mix, I only need 200ml of Foam Liquid and 200ml of water to do the whole car.

That’s what I wanted to achieve.

Snow foam cannon I have in the Bosh set is mixing snow foam with too much water ratio, hence poor foaming result.

What you have on your car is as it should be.

I barely could film the whole thing and the foam was dripping off the car.

Thinking of getting the proper ProKleen lancet for my washer so I will be able to adjust mix ratio.

I use warm water 50/50 Pro-kleen and mine is nothing like that lol. But still end up using over half the lance bottle.
