Hi everyone,

I did have 3 problems but now one is fixed ( Had a bolt head snap on the number plate leaving the rest of the bolt still in the bumper with no easy way to get it out - lots of pulling and twisting did the trick in the end ).

Anyway, so ive had the car for 3 weeks, and now i have a blown flex pipe on the exhaust system,

Was told it would be about £1000 replacement of the whole downpipe section from audi, ~£500 local garage or ~£200 for a repair, gutted as ive only had the car 3 weeks.

Ive just been quoted £75 from a place called prospeed exhausts in Cardiff which sounds very reasonable ( if the flex pipe is easy to get to, if not he said £125, still reasonable i think ).

Just want to know if anyone has had this happen, if so can it be fixed or does it need replacing?

Second problem is the rear washer doesnt work, ive used needles to poke in the outlet and clear as much of the blockage as possible but still no luck, when i hold the washer for the back, some water squirts out but then stops completely, if i use a needle again and repeat, same thing happens.

Will be very grateful for any info,

Jordan

I've not had an issue with the exhaust system but my rear washer was also blocked (seems to be a common fault).
I was quoted by Cardiff Audi £18 for to fix the washer but I've not got round to sorting it out yet!

Replace the whole exhaust system from turbo back with an aftermarket like Milltek? Will wake the car up nicely too. When life hands you lemons make lemonade :D ?

I was thinking about it, i was at a vw/audi specialist in newport getting a dash cam wired in, and an identical s3 took me out for a spin (remap and custom made air filter) and the difference in those alone was mindblowing, however i dont think ill be going down the mods route for a year or two yet.

I called prospeed exhausts in cardiff back to book the car in, will post back with results after next wednesday.

If your current exhaust is all ok then just have the flexi changed, they seem a well respected outfit. The rear washer jet will just pop off so you can ream out the capillaries inside or just buy a new one. When you remove the jet you’ll see a little well in there, clean that out as well as it will be full off dirt.
