I have say it was a brilliant experience, thank you Sandra. Before you read any further my intention was to start big and get smaller.....

So it started off for me with the new Q7 3.0 TDI which in the flesh looks so much better than its 'station wagon' promo photos that have been released. The geezer so took me ( I'm terrible with names) was a cool guy who listened to me waffle about how much I love Audi's and how impressed I was with the huge limo we were sat in. It had beautiful rose wood (like my phone) interior accents and the virtual cockpit is simply stunning, he showed me the Audi connect and the amazing graphics on the MMI screen from the maps to the live weather geographical rain state.... A geeks wet dream (literally)! The ride was so comfy and loved the new S-Tronic gear stick which is dare I say it very similar to the BMW auto sticks that's kinda short-throw and 'digital' in it application, the whole first drive was gorgeous and it's no surprise they've sold all units over here already.

Second up was an A7 TDI in red and that thing is a beautiful car in and out, if I ever turn into Al Capone then I will buy one of these, again the interior is faultless and the engine is more refined than my (A5 3.0l TDI Quattro) all the gadgets inside are again fairly standard affair in these big Audi's but loved how it drove, so smooth and it looks simply stunning on the 20's it was sitting on. The lad who took 'escorted' me in it was a new lad who is creating a new role in Audi which is to be an expert on all the cars they make, which to me seems like a non job really as I could (as can most on the forum) do with my eyes shut! So we chatted about his new job and he has an A3, then I was telling him about the forum where he said he'd chatted with Ryan and downloaded the app for this forum, then I said you should just read on here and you'll know all for your job, then I got into the vagcom and told about what it can do so I'm sure he'll be regular on here pretty soon, I mean if my job was to learn about cars and to do that was too be on a forum all day then life ain't bad..... Anyone with sons who wants a job at Audi get them applying, sounds like the easiest job in the world!

After some lunch which was bloomin fantastic, loved the prawns . I sat down with a few lads to discuss what they've been in and I think as I was a newb I didn't really force things to much and just went with what they had to offer as everyone else had blasted all the RS', I finally manned up and asked if I could have a go in an RS5, unfortunately they didn't have one as it's now out of production but second best thing (for me).........

An S5 in that stunning blue with silver and black leather. This car literally is stunning stood still! Opening up it was just like getting into mine APART FROM when you press that start /stop button and that super charged V6 roars into action, my face lit up and I was grinning like Mr T in the jewellery section in cash converters .... Once we got out onto the open road I was pretty lucky as the traffic had taken a break for five mins and the manual shift is so quick abs responsive it revved instantly and the power was so smooth but still forceful..... I want a super charger! I was surprised it only revved to 6k though, not far off my diesel, but far far quicker. Once we got to a round about I put it into sport and the nice Chap next to me with the best sideburns of the day (he needs an award and we'll call him Jethro turned off the radio and then I let rip and can't get over the noise of made, who needs Bang and Olufsen when you have that engine it sounds fricken awesome, then I looked in my rear view mirror and there was a black RS6 yapping at my heels... It was on!!!
The road was clear and I kindly floored the pedal (so the guy in the RS6 could have a good run out of course) along a nice windey stretch until we got to the dual carriage way, once we were on there we both had a drag race but I moved over so he could fly past, even at full chat the noise of that black Beauty was even better still over my V6 and we hit a healthy 'legal' speed until the end of the road and the dreaded lorry put a stop to our fun.
That was me sold, I will be buying an S5 in the future, probably when the new one comes out (these two years best to quick) but now I have it in my head and heart. Once I got back and parked up i just ogled at it for a minute until he took the next lucky sod. It's such a gorgeous car that now I need to own one!

Once inside and having another gorgeous brew I chatted to the RS6 driver for about 20 mins reliving our last drives and his grin was even bigger than mine (quite rightly so as he was in what pretty much is a super car with a jolly big boot).

Just before I left I had a go at the 'arcade' simulator they had setup and blimey I'm crap, it was good fun and the staff seemed to have a competition where 2.02 mins was the lap time to beat, I only managed a 2.12 but I blame...... Well me, I need more practice in an R8 ha ha wink wink... As I left I got a nice unexpected goody bag which was full of cool things including a coloring book and jelly beans.... I did eat them and they were lovely but my niece will love the coloring book and cement another fan into the brand!

Ps. As I drove out I smashed on some tunes in the car and had a little fun with an RS 7 who was behind me, unfortunately the road was pretty busy until they got scared off by our LED headlights and we did manage a good run out just before the dual carriageway where we hit... Well it said 30mph at the end but it did seem a lot quicker..... Ahem!!!

Overall blinding day and a huge thanks to everyone that made it happen, Sandra you're getting a big smackeroony when I see you and Aaron I'll get you a Costa some time ha ha.

@Sc08 LAB fantastic feedback Alex. Sounds like you really enjoyed. :) x

What can I say other than fantastic!! Treated like VIPs from the moment we arrived, all staff were so well turned out and so very helpful. I managed to get a drive in the RS7 and the S1, so I got both ends of the spectrum!

The RS7.....in the words of Borat...wa wa wee wa! From the looks of that beast, to sitting in it, to driving 5mph and then getting to floor it, just unreal!!! All 97k of it (or whatever the exact price of the test drive model was) !

Then the wee S1, that thing can really shift as well! The gearbox and clutch felt so light to me coming from my upgraded clutch and short shifter in my S3, so I had a few 'abrupt' changes until I got the hang of it, then it was effortless! So pokey and fun to drive! And handles really just like a wee go cart!

At one point I thought @ruairi83 had actually accepted a job working for Audi as he was out in cars left right and centre LOL. Jokes aside I now have a nice black washer cap and coolant cap thanks to him so cheers for that!

Was really good to get to meet the other members as well. I think I met @Sc08 LAB and a few others. All gents the lot of you! And the hard working @BrennanTDi was there, who was walking funny after his drive in the RS7...how was the drive home in your A4 after that Aaron? LOL.

I caught a glimpse of @Point_Audi but didnt get the chance to speak to you Shaun, did you get to drive much mate? Hope you had a good day.

Feel pretty privileged to be honest and already cannot wait for something like this in the future! The atmosphere, the food, the staff and the other guests really just made this a fantastic 2hrs! My GF lisa also feels the same and thinks you are all a great bunch!

Sooo BIG THANKS to Belfast and Portadown Audi (and any other bit of Audi that was in any way related to this event) for the brill customer service and a chance to drive those excellent machines, thanks to the Galgorm Manor for the lovely hospitality and thank you to Sandra for organising yet another amazing event for us all!! Also thanks to @BrennanTDi who is genuinly one of the nicest guys I have ever met and is always on the ground working hard at different events!

Loved the day. Thank you all for organising and running this.
Had a blast in the RS3 and the S5. Very very different engines. The 3 is a shouty lairy beast whereas the S5 is a quiet refined cruiser... until you put your foot down!
The 3 bangs up through the gears but the 5 just powers itself into rocket speeds without any apparent effort.
We waited and waited for the RS6 but unfortunately this was the closest we got to it... :-((

This showcase was one of the best events I have attended to date, it was such a fantastic day from the moment we arrived, I am still on cloud nine and I was even dreaming about the sound of that RS3 Sportback and RS7 last night! :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

This was my first time at the Galgorm and I thought the location was excellent for such an event, you felt like you were the only person there from speaking personally with Richard Eakin and all the Belfast Audi/Portadown and Audi UK staff who were so friendly and couldn't have done enough for you, that goes for the staff of the Galgorm also, thank you for the food and coffee it was delicious! :)

Both my Dad and I were down to drive the RS3 Sportback first and we both came back grinning from ear to ear, it was such a beautiful machine to drive and was really comfortable. When accelerating it sounded absolutely gorgeous especially when in dynamic mode I had goose bumps with every crackle and pop of that exhaust!!

When we both returned from the drive, we got some lunch and spoke with the organisers to see if it would be possible to have a drive in another few of those amazing machines and it was no problem at all which one would you like!haha

So I have only even seen the TTS on the road and in pictures, but I have never driven one so I went for a drive and I have to say I truly enjoyed the drive, it was such a lovely car, both comfortable and performance plus it even sounded amazing also. I fell in love with the dashboard, trust Audi to make such a beautiful display and interior always second to none.

We also went for drive in the RS7 and the RSQ3 which both were absolutely fantastic also, both Dad and I never stopped smiling all day it really was a great day, and even Dad hasn't stopped talking about it. haha

It was great to get a catching up with some of local members, I am sorry I never got speaking to you @s3_trev but it sounds like you really enjoyed your day also! :)

Finally I would just like to finish off by saying a massive thank you to Sandra for taking the time to organise our invitations and I would like to thank the staff from both Belfast/Portadown Audi and Audi UK for their time and hospitality.

Hope to see you all at future events.

Some of my pictures from the day.

I would like to say a huge thank you to the guys at NI-Audi and Audi UK for inviting us to their exclusive showcase event at Galgorm Hotel & Spa. Special thanks goes out to Richard Eakin, MD of NI-Audi, Jillian Adams, events team for Belfast Audi and our very own @Sandra , for going out of her way and putting in all the work to make this happen. Last but not least, I'd like to say a big thank you to you guys, my crew, for your continued support and attending all of our events.

The Audi Sport Showcase was everything we expected and more, from the wonderful hospitality of the Audi staff members to the amazing display of Audi S & RS cars outdoors, held at a stunning location. We got to drive some of the most awesome cars in the Audi range, the RS6 and RS7 were my choices of the day, I can honestly say that I have never drove anything quite like them before, the power and sound from these machines is extremely addictive, the only regret is most of us will never have the opportunity to own one.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day, I thought it was very well organised and run. Any questions or queries I had about the cars were answered professionally and quickly and all the sales guys seemed to know their stuff about the cars. The test route allowed us to open up the cars slightly which certainly put a smile on our faces.

The location was stunning, the Galgorm Resort is very exclusive and is known for its extremely high standards and customer satisfaction, so I thought it was the perfect place to hold this event and also a fantastic buffet was provided to us for lunch.

All in all,we were made to feel very welcome by all the Audi staff members, every single one of them is a pleasure to speak to, always in great humour and more than happy to help or accommodate you. Most of them know me and I feel that I can speak with them on a more personal level.

I feel very privileged to have been invited to the showcase and certainly cannot wait for the next event with NI-Audi.

I will share my photos with you guys tomorrow :)

Thank you so much buddy for your kind words it really means a lot to me. It's always a pleasure to get speaking to you, and I really appreciate you taking the time to come and spend the day with us at the shows and events.

The drive home in my diesel A4 was, as you can imagine, EXTREMELY BORING, I almost fell asleep hahaha. My adrenalin was pumping after stepping out of those dream machines. I may have to invest in something a little more exciting :glee:

What a great morning I had at Galgorm. I brought my younger brother along for the event and he also thoroughly enjoyed himself. Unfortunately I had to leave around 12 as I had other plans for the rest of the day!

Originally I'd booked an RS3, but due to my age (21) I wasn't allowed to drive it. However, I did get to drive an S3 sportback and got taken for a ride in a TT 2.0TFSI (the scuba blue one) by one of Belfast Audi's salesmen...can't remember his name though, but he was only 23!

This wasn't my first experience with an S3 as I've had a couple of test drives before, once in an S3 Saloon from Belfast Audi with my salesman Paul McGlone, and once in a used S3 Hatchback from Charles hurst. I drove the black Sportback at our event which was fitted with the stunning super sports bucket seats finished in fine nappa leather!

As I climbed in to the car and headed out of Galgorm estate, I had to reach for my Ray-bans so I wasn't blinded by the sun, we headed out on to the test route and immediately once on the main road I gunned it and let the magnificent 300hp 2.0 engine and S tronic gearbox do their thing. For having such a small engine compared with the other cars there on the day, the S3 still sounded incredible and put a big grin on my face from ear to ear. As I previously mentioned, it's not my first time driving one, but this didn't stop me from being as impressed as the first time I drove one all those months ago! Whilst out on the drive, the heavens opened which gave me the chance to fully exploit all the grip and handling capabilities that Audi's famous Quattro system has to offer. The car went round bends at silly speeds without even breaking a sweat, and handled just as well in the wet as it did in the dry!

Next up, I got a passenger ride in the TT S line. Now, I thought the S3 sounded good, but this thing was something else! I guess this car would be one of the underdogs of the Audi range since it's not an S or RS model, but don't let that fool you. The 230hp 2.0tfsi engine pulled very nearly as well as the S3 but sounded so much sweeter and so much more aggressive through the gears. When we turned out on to the A26 carriageway, my driver put the loud pedal to the floor and didn't let off til we came to the 7 Towers roundabout...I'll not quote the exact speed, but we'll just say it was well into 3 digits!

Upon my return from the TT ride, my brother and I quickly spoke with a few staff from Audi UK and Belfast Audi to thank them for having us there before we had to leave and head towards home.

Was great to speak with a few of our members that I hadn't seen in a while! Unfortunately I missed some of you due to the different time slots we'd booked :(

I'd like to say a huge thanks to everyone at Belfast & Portadown Audi, Audi UK, the Galgorm staff, Sandra for helping organise the event, and of course all you guys for coming along!

Looking forward to the next event!

Was the TT only an S line Ryan? I could have swore I saw TTS in the grill. However when I was ringing up to book my slot, the girl told me that the TT on offer was NOT a TTS, so perhaps you are right about the S line part.

Ah Ok there you go then! I wonder why I was told on the phone that there was no TTS. Unless she meant there was no free slots in the TTS cars.

Sorry took so long to add mine been flat out!

I had a great day! love seeing the cars and the sounds and a great spot for it too galgorm resort! I booked the RS6 avant, and was the only car i drove (although got a spin in the RS7 with brennan as a passenger)... i was tempted to try for something else but tbf the RS6 was just awesome...it almost ruined the rest of the range wouldnt have had the same punch in away (although they are all great cars). Good to see the Audi staff in a "laid back" manner. RS6 is a dream to own one of these days i knew they were good but <3 the "route" was great! got a mix of everything bit of town, some twisty bits, carriage way etc, really got a feel of how the car actually could be on a day to day, compared to most test drive routes at dealers round the block. Cant remeber the guys name who took me out (im terrible with names!) but was a young guy from belfast, had a laugh talking about the good ole max power days mad bodykits etc, but the car its self was amazing! popping down the gears from the exhaust! and the shocks of people at how easily the car passed other cars for being "an estate car" which is what i love about them. Was funny the RS6 i drove was also in Misano red same as my TT was basically my car but bigger and alot quicker haha. Another highlight of the day was sitting playing the Forza game chairs with brennan, and racing away, and brennan trying to video himself "diffing" the R8 in the game on his phone.....and one of the sales guys walks over and asks him to "keep both hands on the wheel as he might hit a pedestrian" Brennans face was priceless haha! you'd think he'd just been told off by the police or something for using his phone while actually driving on the road and not in a game haha!

Would like to thank Belfast and Portadown Audi, Sandra and anyone else involved for organising the event and getting the opportunity to go! Really was a highlight to a pretty crappy couple of weeks!

I've been hugely impressed with the 'staff' on here. Sean, Aaron and now Ryan are doing a brilliant job bringing the NI guys together, Belfast/Portadown Audi have been more than generous in their support for us all and a big thumbs up for Sandra, you've been behind us all the way, organising, encouraging and supporting us.

Thank you!

Thanks so much Gaz, I love you like a brother man hahaha I'm also really glad you could go and you better be coming to the rest of our events :friends:

I only got driving the RS6 & RS7, I'm not complaining though as I feel very privileged to have drove them. On the next one I too will start with the small cars because it is simply unfair to compare an RS3 to an RS6. :)
