After having a new gearbox fitted at 54K miles now at 117k miles I need another new one, my colleague who also has an A4 3ltr Cab is also having gearbox trouble, as ever Audi Cust services say there is no problem and it is just my bad luck. Does anyone else out there know of this issue of failing Tiptronic gearboxs?

My A3 2.0TDi S-Line Sportback is indeed having problems.
After reporting a slight judder from the DSG gearbox I took the car to my local dealer on Monday. They phoned me today to tell me that they were going to change the gearbox. 10 days lead time on the new gearbox though.
The car has done under 4k miles and to say I'm dissapointed is a bit of an understatement.
I begining to think I should have kept my Golf - It never had any problems in the 3 years I had it.

Just a word of caution, they did not fit new box to my car even though that what was said at the time, what they fitted was a refurbished unit. I am begining to think there is a design fault here! Good luck
