hello all,

so among the vast amount of work my car needs it also needs the reverse parking sensors sorting. when i put it in reverse there is a long beep then nothing.

Ive read up on this and the main suggestion is to put the ignition on with the car in reverse and then feel each sensor for a buzzing/clicking. ive tried this and feel nothing.

ive had the car since august and literally twice it has worked so im guessing it could be some dodgy wiring?

does anyone have any experience in this?

Thanks
Darren

If you can get access to vcds it will show you which if any sensor(s) are at fault. I have had two sensors give up on mine both times vcds picked up the faulty one.

Sdha4sline can you remember what fault code it put up for the faulty sensors?

Its probably water has got into them, common on B6/7 sensors, replacing usually fixes them, but of course painting needed, we can supply/fit/repair this for you if interested.

No worries, I'm getting "open or short to ground" on my rear right one and wondered if yours had been the same.
