FAULT CODE HELP PLEASE

My ecu light keeps coming on, reset it a couple of times but it comes back so must have a fault.
here is the fault from my scan, could anyone tell me what it means and what part i need to cure it,also whats involved to fit it.cheers

looks like your cat may be knackered obviously mate, if it was the o2 or lambda sensor it would mention that instead.

And if I was you I would edit that post above to blank out your VIN number!!!! Thats begging to be used on a ringer by someone! After all, from your pic and that post they have your make, model, reg and VIN....

its been coming on for a while now, but it has just had an mot and passed, if the cat was gone wouldnt it of failed.

If it passed MOT then like you say the cat should be OK.

It's not a huge issue, the VIN is visible to anyone passing the car in the street as is the reg number.

not long had a new oem system, but only from the cat back

I wonder if the ecu's idea of a cat thats working poorly is still enough to pass an emissions sniffer test.....might not pass next time or even a months time - you never know.

Just a thought as I reckon the dtc would have mentioned the o2 sensor or something like that, not "catalyst system efficiency below threshold" - which reads to me like "the cat doesnt seem to be working well enough" so thats why I think its that.
