What are the pops and bangs like? Can you hear them with the windows up and down?Thanks for the heads up! After an hour playing around with the car before work Im more than happy with the new exhaust atm, im getting pops and bangs and the dsg pops are already getting on some neighbours nerves
As for breaking in! The senior technician said that aslong as I warm up the car the odd pull will help bed in the engine for the first 500-1000 miles, and to behonest itll be a while before I have the minerals to even try to use the car to its max

Ill get a video of it on the GoPro tomorrow, but I put it into dynamic mode and gave it a wee rev in neutral and there was deep pops and bangs with the windows up and down

After the facelift the only extras i got were the paint, parking system and stronic! Anything else i thought was over kill as I wouldnt really use/need it

The FL 3 door S3 looks so nice, would appreciate a few more pics if you get time.
I'm about to order the same in Panther black but can't decide on the wheels, really want the 19inch standard Saloon/Convertible S3 wheels but trying to sort a deal with the dealer to supply them on the car.
Did you not consider the optional 19's?...the standard 18's look great though.
Quick carpark video iff my phone, but it really doesn't do it justice! You get popping going from 3000 down and deep bangs above that, charging the gopro to get a good recording from behind the car asap

One word of advice though.......Get rid of the dealership sticker in the back window...
I hate it when they do this especially when they can't be bothered to put it central. Isn't it enough they put it on the plates....Grrr

I was told by my local dealers 'master technician' that the engines don't need bedding in as they are ready at 0 miles, as long as the engine is warm go for it! But im sure other people will have their own opinions.

Yea i dont notice any pops in comfort/eco mode, which is pretty useful! Cant turn up to clients houses in full race car mode

Just one quick question if you don't mind...im looking at a short private plate and wondered if the front reg plate housing can be removed from the front grill? and a smaller one put on. Do the chrome bars run behind the mounting plate or do they stop?thanks in advance....
The bars end at the edge of the normal plate (plate seems sunken in)
So idk how it would look with the shorter plate, wouldn't be my cup of tea so Im holding off for an RS style grill unless the pre facelift ones still fit
