Manage to strip the module etc from the donor car and managed to sort all the wiring except for 1 wire which is grey and comes from pin 4 on the module. According to the diagram I found on Audizine this pin is not used but pin 7 and earth is. My module has no pin 7. Reluctant to assume that my pin 4 us an earth. Any assistance gratefully received.
Pins 1. 12v front fog switch 2. 12v line to rear fog light (split to indicator on button) 3. 12v rear fog switch 4.? 5. 12v line to front fogs (split to indicator on button) 6. GND 8. 75x 9. 75x 14. 75x Then on the switches I have a pair of illumination wires spliced and 2 browns which I assume are Gnd
i think 4 is a signal from the lights to say the sidelights are on. It seems to connect to the same place as the glove box light and some others.
You're a gent, cheers. My Mrs is in need of a big bunch of flowers and a meal out after having bits of car spread out over the house. She's not grumbled once even while sharing the table with my soldering iron and half a wiring harness. LoL
1 - fog switch 2 - rear fog output (plus indicator on rear fog switch) 3 - rear fog switch 4 - sidelight signal - sourced from stalk terminal 58/7 5 - Front fog output (plus indicator on front fog switch) 6 - Ground 8 - ignition live supply to relay and also supply to both fog switch buttons, via fuse 236. 9 - ignition live, via fuse 5 14 - ignition live from 75X relay Looks like everything else was more or less right. At the buttons themselves, you've got the 1 - Illumination feed 2 - indicator light feed 3 - ground for both lights 4 - 12v input to switch contact 5 - NC 6 - Output from switch contact to relay
Sorry to kind of jump on this, my fog lights are intermittent. I can switch them on and they might be ok for 10 minutes then they go off and won’t come back on, some times they don’t work at all and others there is no problem. Why would this be? Problem with relay? If so where about sis it?
