So was at my local cinema, as usual I parked in the opposite corner (occasionally theres a single bay all by itself you can snag). Saw a lovely GTR which was parked by itself when we arrived. After the film saw this thing next to it, I know I'd be annoyed if I found it next to my car after practicing "extreme parking".
Indeed, not that I had much control as he/she arrived after I parked up, usually this end of the car park is very quiet. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
Because he'd parked out of the way for a reason, owning a coupe means I need a bit more room for the doors. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk
Not necessarily extreme parking but thought this was quite funny today in the work car park, I joined the line of Audi’s
Pretty much the whole floor to myself However almost proved rather expensive! https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/sb-tailgate-panic.397816/
Another case of extreme parking, at work this time. Nobody wants to park so far away except a poor car enthusiast like me
Does this count? Campsite this summer in the Loire, France. Nothing within 50m except my caravan and I'm even more paranoid about that.
Make sure the tyre isn't 100% over the line as otherwise you risk a ticket for parking outside the bay! TX. Sent from my BBB100-2 using Tapatalk
I understand and agree with this rule.....but with end spaces like this I am doubtful that a penalty could be enforced because you are not encroaching on another parking space. In fact you could say the left line is technically redundant, but is only there to keep continuity with the other lines. If one was given a ticket then common sense would surely prevail if appealed. I actively look for spaces like this and park exactly the same. P.S. In case somebody says this end space could be used for a motorcycle, it needs to have a line either side to define the space and also needs to be marked for motorcycle only use by either a sign or painted on the road.
I get what you’re saying, but I’m sure they’ll argue that the space could be used to park motorbikes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Fyi I got a ticket for parking outside the bay for this in an otherwise empty car park! TX. Sent from my BBB100-2 using Tapatalk
First of all I genuinely do sympathise. It's hard to see where you are in relation to the marked bays though. The blue areas seem to define the limits of the bays and walkways.....but your car appears to be parked on completely blue with no bays either side?
Where I was parked there were 2 bays marked out like the others you can see. I was in a bay but pulled over to one side of it in to an area that no one could park in. Harsh imho but they said when challenged that if I had had my wheels on the line they could have done nothing! TX. Sent from my BBB100-2 using Tapatalk
Right I understand now. Yes that was harsh....particularly as you were not impeding any other bay, and could still drive out straight ahead without having to avoid cars in the bays at right angles to you.
I'd have left it as close to line the asap without going over it, going over just winds people up and is asking for a key going down the side!
Right one opens first so hopefully they notice a car there. Maybe next time I park head first and leave car on full lock so if that door opens it will hit the tyre not the car
I think you have set yourself a challenge there mate. Photo needed of said door open against the trye or it didnt happen
Used this car park on and off for over a year and never seen that door open or any of the service doors there open. Maybe the dashcam might catch it opening.
It always worth to go up another level to get to this boss space! No dings on my doors either (not this time anyways).
