Hi Everyone,
Firstly are the exhaust tips removable on a standard exhaust?
Secondly has anyone seen Black tips for the stock exhaust.
The chrome just doesn’t work withe the Vegas yellow and black look.
If they are removable has anyone tried spraying them or powder coating?

You mean like on BLUEY, Neil:

Neil black tips

The 8P RS3's tail pipes are removable of course; not sure of the A1, these may well be similar to the SQ5's that are tack-welded, tsk:

You'll need some acid etch spray paint and something like K2 Pro brake caliper paint:

In case you haven't found the correct answer yet.
Yes, the tips can be removed. they are held in place by spring clips.

Took my tips off and painted the pipes with Halfords exhaust paint using a brush. It gives a matt finish and with the smaller tips it looks more subtle which is the look I was after. Might work for what you want too.

Hi mate, sorry missed your post.
So they are just held with clips, do they just pull off or do you need to twist them off?

Mine were really tight. I was able to get a screwdriver in between the exhaust and the tip and start prying it off. The tip is quite sturdy so don't worry about bending it. At the same time pulling it side to side walking it off.
