Hi All,

Looking to protect my chrome exhaust tips for the winter but not sure if poor boys wheel sealant will be okay to use as the temp on the exhaust shoots up. any advice?

I have found Collinite 845 works a treat in the past and will be using it again

Thanks mat just ordered. I'm guessing this will work on bare metal alloys?

I'm a convert to ceramic sealants. Will be applying Gtechniq all over the paintwork, wheels, callipers and exhaust tips.

Effortless to keep clean and should last at least 12months :)

I had some gtechniq c5 left over from sealing my alloys and applied it to my exhaust tips. Holding up really good at the moment

Collinite 845 came through the post today. The texture seems dry and kinda flaky. Is this how it is meant to be?

That is how it should be, its quite thick and oily.

I always heat it up in a bucket of hot water prior to using, and use a sponge pad to apply - you don't need much.

Thanks Cuffy gonna do that to. I'll use it straight after a car wash on the whole car too

Good man - you won't regret it, its brilliant stuff.
