So I feel like the 1.8 doesn't sound as it should. I know they are far off an s3 and I'm not trying to convert mine into one but to me it seems like my exhaust sounds pretty much the same to a 1.2/1.4 engine, you know that 'swoosh' sound? I want a slightly deeper 'hum' on acceleration similar to say a stock TT. I love the sound from the inside in dynamic though.
I thought about removing the rear silencer but by the sounds of other cars with the same engine it just sounds really throaty to me which isn't what I'm looking for. I dont want to go down the route of putting a s3 exhaust on because I don't have an s3 and wouldn't want it to look like I think I do! Milltek/remus etc are too loud and the best way I can describe is a stock TT exhaust sound. Would I have to get a more open/wider custom twin exit exhaust or just suck it up? Any help appreciated..
