Exhaust downpipe gasket

I have an AGU engine in my T4 Transporter and I'm having trouble with the gasket on the downpipe from the turbo housing. The one I'm using is a thin aluminum type but it keeps blowing after a week or so. Am I using the right gasket or perhaps the home made downpipe isn't flexing properly. I have used a section of flexible pipe from the donor vehicle.

Any thoughts ? advice on getting this fixed once and for all ?

If you are blowing OEM gaskets (the only ones to use) then your mating faces aren't flat and or the studs/bolts are backing out/stretching...

You won't blow an OEM gasket if all of the above aren't an issue
