To cut a long story short, I've gone over my agreed mileage on my PCP by around 20,000 miles. I'm not sure whether I wish to stay with Audi or switch to something else yet. Naturally, I've had the letter from Audi stating I'm in the final few months of my contract and this charge will be waivered if I renew an Audi with them.

Does anyone have any experience with this and have you had to pay the excess charge? Have you been hounded by solicitors etc in the past demanding payment if you've chosen just to hand the keys back?

You will be liable of the excess mileage charge, and they will chase you for the money + whatever other issues they find with the car.

The S3 is almost 11p per mile which is a good couple of grand so they will want that money.

Dont pay it imho, just hand the car back. They will chase you for it but it's not legally enforceable eg UK Law trumps any contract.

TX.
