Stopped at services for a break whilst driving down the M1 last night. When I restarted the car, it warned that ESP/ABS were offline, then a host of other things went offline also (Hill Hold, Stop/Start etc) but all disappeared after a couple of minutes. However, I then had two or three further ESP/ABS offlines during the rest of the drive, each which only lasted twenty seconds before disappearing.

Thoughts? I'm guessing possibly bad wheel sensor or connection?

Bad connection, battery, playing up, could be a variety of things tbh, ideally needs a scan as it would have thrown a code in most situations of this nature.

If it was me I'd go straight to an independent VAG specialist if there's any good ones in your area. They pretty much always figure it out.

This happened to me recently. They went away after driving it for 20 seconds. I plugged my obd2 reader in and cleared the codes and they never come back‍♂️
