epc light

Hi.

I have an A3 2.0tfsi quattro With remap. The EPC light has come on,the car accelerates fine upto about 3500rpm them hesitates and i can hear a hissing sound witch wasnt there before.

I plugged it into my friends diagnostic and it showed no faults.

Can anyone help me.

could be a boost pipe split or come off , common on the old golf's just wondering if its the same on these too but then again it could be anything , have you taken it to a garage at all

hi, thanks for the advice,I have tried using a vag com fault reader but it shows no fault????

I spoke to the guys who did my remap,they seem to think its the dump valve(bypass valve)?

Could be if it's the older diaphragm type valve, only way to know is to remove and inspect to see if there are any splits. As FranA3 said it would also be worth while just having a quick look for boost leaks

Thanks,I decided to get a new one an tried to replace it today,I had at up on a two post ramp but just could't get enough access to remove it.
