Engine swap possible?

Is it possible to put a later model Audi engine (preferably a V8) into an Audi 5000s. It was just a weird question because I think that it might have enough room in the engine capartment to put the engine, but I think the major problem would be the transmission. But is it possible to do that?

In actual fact the 5000 was the testing ground for the mighty V8, there are photos available of such a test vehicle.... So the answer is yes, It would be alot of work but yes IT COULD BE DONE....Good luck, hope this helps....
