Morning all. Bit of an amateur question. I have the new GPF equipped S3, not sure if it makes a difference. And the car is completely standard. Was wondering what is the best engine oil for it? Castrol is written on the oil cap, but was wondering which one.... Thanks in advance.
Thanks. What ratio would you recommend? As I keep seeing 5w 30 or 5w 40. What do Audi put in at the factory?
Fully Synthetic 5W30 is the right for the S3. I'm running Castrol Edge Longlife myself but as @Gazwould mentions you won't feel any difference by using Quantum.
Pretty sure i was told by a parts manager that the current range of Quantum oils is made by Fuchs now so it should be pretty good. I buy them in 20L packs so works out hugely cheaper
