Engine oil for 40 TDI - 0W30 or 5W30?

Hi,
Rather confused as to which Castrol oil i should be buying. The one Audi supplied with my 40 TDI - and the one they recommend - is 0W30 VW50400/50700. However Castrol don't mention VW504/507 on their 0W30 oil, only on their 5W30 oil. Very confusing.....

it seems only Shell oil (which is what Audi branded oil is) is 0W30 & VW504/507.

Cheapest approved is Quantum Longlife III 5W30 .

VW owned and produced by Fuchs .

I've bought 0W30 oil for top ups in the past but on the last service (last week), I'm pretty sure they specified that 5W30 was used instead.
