Engine Oil Choices for 8V S3

Is there a specific Oil Specification for the S3?

I have seen a Universal Synthetic 5W/30 oil in my filling station and wanted to know if I can use it. It is recommended for the latest BMW/Mec/VW models, I don't want to use it if it will do any damage in the long term!

Also anyone know the capacity (quantity required) of the engine?

In theory, as long as it meets or exceeds VW 504 00 507 00 and is 5W/30 (UK/Ireland Use) - its good to go !
