my eml came on about 2 month ago(700 mile ago)
so i scanned it and got
PO118 engine coolant temp sensor circuit 1 high

So i removed the code and forgot about it whilst waiting for audi to get back to me.

700 mile later it just popped up again!

So got same code etc.

And ive ordered one through ecp!

Question Is where is it on the block?
What colour is the sensor im looking for?

The light came on after a cold start up

2.0 tdi a3 04

Thanks

is it located at line 1
or line 2?
ive looked around at both lines
theres a few sensors at front of block
but none at the side where vw754 is saying(right hand side block above gearbox)

LINE 1

Found it!
Another question.
Should the thermostat housing?where the pipes goes into. Has a bolt where the wiring attaches
Mine isn't sealed? Should it be sealed with sealant?
I took the one bolt out nd coolant was escaping!

Can you shed any light on where you found this sensor? I've had a look around (moon light with torch!) but couldn't find it. My eml has just popped on and vcds is saying the coolant sensor is faulty.
